Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Quality assurance is ‘a process of establishing stakeholder confidence that higher education provision (input, process and outcomes) fulfills expectations or measures up to threshold minimum requirements’. “Internal quality evaluation” is a ‘process of quality review undertaken within an institution for its own ends’. Accordingly, development and management of internal quality assurance system is ‘at the discretion of the higher education institution, which usually carries out this mandate in the context of available institutional resources and capacities’. Teaching and learning quality is a main concern of higher educational institutes. Quality in higher education is approached through two main dimensions, namely, quality enhancement and quality assurance. While quality enhancement focuses more in improving teaching and learning, quality assurance is more focused on revealing issues in quality.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for the Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture (FASEA) was established in 2015 and the first IQAC meeting was held on 08th April 2015. The Collection of student feedback, Peer observation process, conducting workshops to enhance the teaching and learning quality are monitored by the IQAC/FASEA as the major events.
