A workshop on Dry Flower Technology was conducted on July 04, 2015 at Uva Wellassa University to a group of entrepreneurs who are engaging with the cut flower sector in the Uva region. The workshop was organized by Uva Wellassa University with the collaboration of Small Enterprises Development Division, District Office, Badulla. The workshop was coordinated by the Lecturers, Ms. U.G.A.T Premathilake and Ms. H.A.S.L Jayasinghe, Department of Export Agriculture. Dr. P. Saputhanthri, Senior Lecturer, Department of Plant Sciences, University of Colombo contributed as the resource person. Dr. Saputhanthri is an eminent professional in this field. The main objective of this work shop was to provide theoretical and technical knowledge on different techniques in Drying and Preserving Flowers for Crafts and Decors. This workshop was also another event, which was conducted as a community service programme mediated by the Uva Agriculture Development Forum.
