Department of Computer Science and Technology along with the UNDP carried out ‘unlocked offline’ programme as the first step towards the Hackathon, which is planned to be held during the month of December, 2015. HackaDev is a Hackathon competition that aims at developing Information Technology (IT) solutions to the issues of Uva Province. In this event, Head of the various departments of Uva province participated and presented the issues that they face when carrying out the day to day operations. UNDP noted all these issues. It will be evaluated later to identify the possible IT solutions, which could be provided to overcome these problems.

Impact Uva hackathon

The main event “Hackadev – Impact Uva”, Hackathon will be held at the Uva Wellassa University on December 10, 11, and 12, 2015. Students from higher education institutes across the country will be participating in this Hakathon, which will be beneficial not only for the students but also for the province of Uva.
