Posts of Chief Security Officer (Grade II), Chief Marshal, Sub Warden (Full Time) Grade II – (Female) and Nursing Officer (Grade II)

The Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka will entertain applications for the Posts of Chief Security Officer (Grade II), Chief Marshal, Sub Warden (Full Time) Grade II – (Female) and Nursing Officer (Grade II) of Uva Wellassa University from among staff of the University system who hold following qualifications.

01. Post of Chief Security Officer (Grade II)

Qualifications:

01. An Officer not below the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, Captain of the Army or an Officer of equivalent rank in the other Armed Services;

02. A person who possesses a degree from a recognized University/Higher Educational Institution with not less than five (05) years of experience in Security work.

03. A holder of the post of Security Inspector, Grade I or above in the University Security Service and confirmed in the present post with not less than eight (08) years of satisfactory service on those grades.

Chief Security Officer (Grade II): U-EX I (II)
Rs:85,305-3×2,020-91,365 (EB) 93765;12×2,400-122,565 p.m. (as at 01.01.2025)

02. Post of Chief Marshal

Qualifications:

01. A holder of the post of Deputy Chief Marshal in the Marshal Service in the university system and confirmed in that post with not less than five (05) years of satisfactory service in that grade.

Physique:

Height – 5′.5″
Chest – 32″ deflated

Note: Preference will be given to those with actively participated in sports activities, social welfare activities and recreation programmes within the university and at national level.

02. An Officer not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in Sri Lanka Armed Forces/equivalent rank in Sri Lanka Police with active participation in sports activities.

Chief Marshal: U-EX 2 (II)

03. Post of Sub Warden (Full Time), Grade II – (Female)

Qualifications:

A graduate of a recognized University. Preference will be given to those with experience in administration and management of hostel.

Sub Warden (Full Time), Grade II – (Female):U-MN 3(II)
Rs.71,365-18×1,190-92,785 p.m. (as at 01.01.2025)

Service Condition

Full-time Sub-Wardens shall reside in the halls of residence to which they are appointed. A sum to be stipulated by the Higher Educational Institution will be recovered from their salaries to meet the cost of Board.

04. Nursing Officer Grade II

Qualifications:

01. G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in six subjects at not more than two sittings with credit passes in subjects.

AND

02. Certificate of competence as a Nurse recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council
