Temporary Lecturer positions are available at the Department of Export Agriculture, Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture for immediate recruitment.

Department of Export Agriculture

1. Temporary Lecturer: Agriculture Finance and related subjects: Financial Accounting, Strategic Management, New Product Development, and Farm Financial Management.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree with a First Class or Second Class Upper Division pass from a recognized University

BScHons (Export Agriculture) – Majoring in Entrepreneurial Agriculture

BScHons (Agriculture) related degree – Agriculture Finance, Agribusiness Management

Note: Preference will be given to those who have sound knowledge of Financial Accounting, Strategic Management, New Product Development, and Farm Financial Management, and minimum of one-year experience as a Temporary Lecturer or Demonstrator.

2. Temporary Lecturer: Agricultural Engineering

No. of Vacancies – 01

Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree with a First-Class or Second-Class Upper Division pass from a recognized University.

BScHons (Export Agriculture) – Majoring in Agricultural Production Technology

BScHons (Agriculture) related degree – Majoring in Agricultural Engineering

Note: Preference will be given to those who have sound knowledge of Meteorology, Climatology, and Climate Change, and minimum of one year experience as a Temporary Lecturer or Demonstrator.

Mode of Selection

The Walk-in Interview will be conducted on October 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. onwards at the Department of Export Agriculture, Faculty of Animal Science and Export Agriculture, Uva Wellassa University, Badulla. The following documents with copies are required to be produced at the interview.

1. National Identity Card and Birth Certificate
2. All relevant academic certificates (Originals and copies)
3. Curriculum Vitae and two Reference Letters
4. Research publications (if any)/ Research project dissertation
5. Any other certificates/awards etc.
