Candidates can submit duly completed applications along with certified copies of certificates via, registered post by mentioning “Application for the Diploma in Professional Business Coaching Programme” on the top left corner of the envelope.

Diploma in Professional Business Coaching

Quality businesses can contribute towards a country’s prosperity, thus the need for the enhancement of business coaching skills was seen as a necessity in the local micro, small and medium scale business enterprises (MSMEs) sector in Sri Lanka and therefore, Business Coaching has become widely respected as a service supporting Owner/ Manager development and business performance improvement, globally. The Department of Tourism Studies (DTS), Faculty of Management (FOM) of Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka (UWU) proposed Diploma in Professional Business Coaching in collaboration with the  Australian Government funded Skills for Inclusive Growth (S4IG) program and the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Sri Lanka (FCCISL) to strengthen the quality of candidates in business coaching enriched with leadership qualities, creativity, analytical and critical thinking, cross-cultural awareness, communication skills, financial management and management skills, and IT mastery as these are fundamentally demanded skills in business operation.

The programme involves one-on-one mentoring through which managers are guided to align business planning with practical work activities that will enhance their businesses in diverse manners. Coaching enables business owners to be successful and uplift performance in ways that are measurable and sustainable with an opportunity for business operators to experience and undertake accredited and recognized training.

The duration of the programme is one year which will be covered 30 credits.
