Capacity Building Training Workshop

Computer Science and Technology Department of Uva Wellassa University along with the Department of Education, Uva Province conducted a two-day workshop in ICT on November 22 and 23, 2014, at the Computer Unit of Uva Wellassa University, for the In-Service-Advisors of the Uva Province.

The Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University and Additional & Deputy Educational Directors of Uva Province attended in the inuagaration as the Chief Guests.

This workshop was conducted by the University Lectures attached to the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Faculty of Science and Technology. Final year undergraduates belong to the ‘Computer Science and Technology’ and ‘Industrial Information Technology’ degrees programmes also actively participated in this event assisting the staff members.

More than hundred and fifty In-Service-Advisors participated in this workshop and they were very much interested in learning how to use Information Technology in their day to day duties.
This workshop was another example to show how the Uva Wellassa University contributes in Cooperate Social Responsibilities by enhancing the knowledge and skills of the people in Uva Province.
