The Uva Wellassa University (UWU) annual pirith chanting ceremony and alms giving (Dana Puja) was conducted blissfully on 24th and 25th of January 2020, with the guidance of respected Vice Chancellor and in support of Academics, Administrative Staff, Academic Supportive Staff, Non Academics and all the beloved students of the UWU.

Every year this ceremony was organized by the students and staff for the purpose of receiving blessings on future works of the University. Fifteen Buddhists monks, including chief Sangha Nayaka theros of Badulla, took part in the chanting and alms giving (Dana puja) and that went on till Saturday (25) Morning.

May the blessings of the triple gems be upon you and attained supreme enlightenment!!!!!
