Saakshara

Saakshara is an annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) task of the UWU event calendar organized by Animal Science Society of Uva Wellassa University. The major objectives of this event include promoting donations among the university community and supporting and fulfilling the primary requirement for a selected underprivileged school in the Uva province. Starting in 2015, this noble event has been successfully conducted for five consecutive years now. The event is annually filled with cheerful moments and brings a hopeful smile to the faces of children who will be the leaders of this country in the coming future.

The profit earned from “Aurora Food Festival”, another event organized by the Animal Science Society is used for this social activity.
