Horton Plains National Park
Get an in-depth look at the beautiful landscapes of Sri Lanka’s hilly interior during this Symposium tour. Horton Plains National park, a UNESCO world heritage site, is the only national park of Sri Lanka that is situated in the Central Highlands. With plains covered in Patna grass and interspersed with small patches of forests and low bushes, the park is home to many hundreds of species of flora and fauna. The tour to the Horton plains is a perfect traveling experience which can explore the rolling landscapes. Hike to World’s End which is the most dramatic feature of the park for unprecedented views of the Sri Lanka. And also you can enjoy the dramatic beauty of Baker’s Falls, which falling from a height of 20m. It’s a majestic sight worthy of preserving in photographs.
Pedro Tea Factory
The tour to Pedro Tea Factory will give opportunity to wander around the plantation fields. Built in 1885, the factory still holds some of its original machinery, although all of the production processes take place at night, meaning you can't see them in action. Nevertheless, you can learn a lot about the history of the factory, the methods used to produce the tea, and, of course, sample some fine tea products at the end. Rest at the onsite cafe and take pictures of the area's lush green landscape.
