I thank you for visiting our website to learn more about the Faculty of Technological Studies. Our Faculty is an exciting place to study, where you will have the opportunity to experience and develop an understanding of the latest technologies as you prepare for a career in applied Biology and Engineering. The Faculty of Technological studies aspire to become the first choice for students who qualify to enter state Universities of Sri Lanka from G.C.E Advanced Level Technology Stream. Our Faculty consists of three Departments: Department of Biosystems Technology, Department of Engineering Technology and Department of Information and Communication Technology. We offer three degree programs: Bachelor of Biosystems Technology, Bachelor of Engineering Technology and Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology which offers broad educational opportunities and career paths to our students. Through our curricular, we continuously challenge our students, helping them gain the knowledge and skills necessary to begin a rewarding career and to become lifelong learners. A point of pride for our Faculty is the young and dynamic staff who provide a focused, practical education that emphasizes a significant laboratory experience for students. In addition to credit courses, we offer our students with the opportunity to engaged in Industrial Training and a Guided Research Project. These opportunities provide students with unparalleled potential for exploration of novel ideas, develop entrepreneurial skills and exposure to the process by which new knowledge is created. As the founding Dean, it is a great pleasure for me to support the staff and students, as we continue to build and shape the future of the Faculty.
